The best thing i can recommend is to call until you get ahold of someone. I read an article yesterday saying that EDD was going to get all the accounts that have been put on hold "updated" by this week. I also received a texted today saying they filed the PEUC extension for me.Īll i have to do is wait til Sunday to see how many weeks i get to certify, it should be for 4 weeks.

Today I log in and it no longer says "Max benefits paid", and now says the usual "No weeks available to certify, come back 1/31 to claim" I also received an inbox message on my edd account with the subject line "Determination of Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation", which stated that the PEUC was being extended by law and on the bottom it says how much you'll get weekly, for how long and your claim amount. She mentioned they might call me, but they haven't. She told me she left a note on my account so that the specialist can be made aware of it when they reach my account.

Originally i had only been able to certify for one week, Jan 10-16th (I havnt been able to certify from 12/27-1/9), she tried to update the weeks herself but couldn't so she tried to transfer me to a claims specialist but couldn't cause the queue line was full. On Tuesday I called over 60+ times without being able to get through, yesterday I got through by the 9th time around 4pm and was able to speak to an agent. Hope this all clears up in the coming weeks with this new stimulus deal.Īnyone still in this situation? 1/25/21 I was only able to certify one week this month, and after that it gave me the "maximum benefits paid" headline. I was also reading on my PEUC notice that benefits are payable until December 31st, 2020. And I'm sure that trump has signed the Covid bill, a lot will change in the coming weeks.Įdit*: I was actually paid my weekly benefit amount early Monday morning even though it switched to "Maximum Benefits Paid" right after I certified. My questions are, will I be paid for last week and this week? And did this happen because unemployment was supposed to run out this week regardless of PEUC? Sorry for the essay length post, was just wondering about all of this. Also after certifying it took out my weekly benefit amount after certifying though it says my Maximum benefits have been paid. I'm sure a lot of other people might have seen this today, but I qualified for the PEUC extension of 13 additional weeks as well. You cannot file another California Unemployment Insurance claim until your current benefit year ends." "You have received all benefits payable to you at this time. After certifying (with a good standing balance) it tells me: Maximum Benefits Paid So I went to certifty today after the EDD website has been down for most of the day.
